Photo Challenge Day 6 - Childhood Memory

I remember a lot of game playing in our house growing up.  My favorite then - and still is - word games.


In those days it was Skip-A-Cross -- now it's Scrabble.  Some of the other games we played included Uncle Wiggily, Parcheesi, Chinese Checkers, and Monopoly.  I hated Monopoly then, and I still refuse to play it with any grandkids that ask.  I guess my brothers always got the best of me in that one.

  1. skip across? never heard of this. same idea as scrabble i take it? i don't like monopoly now but i did then. now they have monopoly deal where you use cards and everyone that comes to visit plays it cuz Steve is always game for it.

  2. Ahh. Still remember those cardboard letters, with chewed up edges. Our memories definetely date us. Antiques, we are.

  3. I remember watching "the tribe" play scrabble on sundays at gma and gpa e. The bickering was nonstop. :-)
